Alanna Dixon has been a huge help for me throughout my breastfeeding journey. I contacted her during my pregnancy, because I knew I would have a rough time due to previous complications. Not only did she help me when my baby was born, but she also answered countless questions even before his birth! I am still in contact with her 3 months postpartum, asking her questions and needing her advice. She is always available, quick to respond, and very genuine in her desire to help. She's given me clinical advice and also very personal guidance as a close friend would do. I have seen quite a few lactation consultants throughout all 3 of my children's births and Alanna is BY FAR the best! Often times, with previous LC's, I've felt they were cold and distant. With Alanna, it feels like you're asking your best friend for advice and help. Its very apparent that helping others with their breastfeeding journey, is her passion. She's been a great help to me, I'm fortunate to have found her, and I feel lucky to also call her a friend. Thanks, Alanna, the nursing relationship I have with my son wouldn't be the same without you!

I was unaware of the many challenges of breast-feeding. I honestly don't think I would still be sticking with it if it weren't for Alanna's help and advice. Her knowledge, and availability have helped me push through some issues. The fact that she is available right at my fingertips, and ALWAYS gets back within a timely manner, is a tremendous help. Call a doctors office, and they may take an entire day to get back to you, Alanna has answers and support right when you need it. She also provides articles to backup her knowledge. She's even sweet enough to even follow up with me a few days after I'm sick, or have had a clogged duct. Her support is comforting and gives me encouragement to keep going.

Alanna helped me with all of my breastfeeding issues from questions during pregnancy, to advice and support once baby was here. She is loving, gentle, and very knowledgable. She never pressured me,nor made me feel bad. She always supported me in all my decisions. She made sure that I had all the tools I needed to be successful. My daughter had a lot of health issues when she was born and Alanna was the only lactation consultant that actually listened to what I was saying. I would recommend her to anyone who is even considering breastfeeding.

It makes me so happy that you are pursuing this and finally open up your own practice. So many will be benefitting from your services. I was so very grateful to have you to turn to when I had Liam over 2.5 years ago. Even after 2 children and breastfeeding them too and learning about breastfeeding for my profession I was at loss and was so happy to have you there by my side. Encouraging me, supporting me and the professional level of advice you gave me was out of this world. Thank you so much for your support throughout the years. I have witnessed how selflessly you help out all these wonderful mommies and babies to help them succeed on their wonderful breastfeeding journey.

I met Alanna in 2009 in a mommy group and her and I connected quickly because of our passion for breastfeeding. I had previously breastfed my son for 14 months. When I found out I was pregnant with my second in 2010, I automatically assumed it would be a walk in the park to breastfeed a second time. I quickly learned that this was not the case. I had several issues the second time that I had not had the first time around. Alanna was more than willing to help me and my baby out. We were able to resolve our issues quickly and continue to breastfeed for 33 months. Still, anytime I had a question about particular meds or whatever, she was quick to help me out and always offered great advice, as well as backing up her info with credible sources. I can’t say enough great things about Alanna. Not only is she full of knowledge, she stays up to date on breastfeeding information and knowledge as well. If I were to have another child, she would most definitely be the first person I would turn to for breastfeeding advice. Thank you, Alanna, for being so great, and loving what you do!

A few words about Alanna Dixon….Alanna is a person that I feel very bonded to and we have never met in person! A friend of mine had me join the facebook group Breast is Best Support (BIBS) as I had just delivered my baby and was severely struggling with breastfeeding problems. The group and Alanna herself were lifesavers for me. I had pretty much every breastfeeding problem in the book….low initial supply, thrush, clogged milk duct (frequently), mastitis & EXTREMELY sore and cracked nipples. Let just say that breastfeeding for me was NOT FUN in the beginning. Alanna and the BIBS group helped me counter-act almost all my problems and if they couldn’t help me at least they listened! Long story short I was able to get my production up and we are still nursing strong 2 years later. She truly helped me make my breastfeeding experience enjoyable (even though it has taken me 2 yrs to admit that!) Alanna and I have bonded over facebook videos of my nursing screaming child as where I live there is no close lactation consultants. She has been fabulous even though we live thousands of miles away. I cannot recommend her enough and I bet she can really do miracle in person!!! When number 2 rolls around she will be my turn to person!
